Lakeland Chamber’s Political Rally October 5th, 2006

The McKeel Campaign is in need of volunteers to wear
t-shirts and show your support on October 5th from 5:00 until
8:00 at The Lakeland Chamber’s Politics in the Park 2006
at the Lake Mirror Promenade. Experience the Excitement of this
Election Year! Show your support for Seth, Meet other
candidates for election and participate in a Straw Poll while
enjoyoing BBQ and beverages at this old fashion political rally
in Downtown Lakeland.

McKeel Sign Campaign Kicks off In
Earnest

Release: September 17, 2006
Yard signs and commercial signs dotted the landscape
today as the McKeel Campaign’s teams of volunteers placed
signs throughout District 63 over the weekend. The teams will
be maintaining the locations throughout the campaign and adding
to them as supporters request more signs.
"Signs are so critical to ensuring victory in November and I
thank our supporters who give permission to places signs on
their property and especially our volunteers who work so hard
to install them."
Signs can be requested by visiting the McKeel Campaign web site
at www.sethmckeel.com
and clicking on the "How to Help" Tab. In addition, the McKeel
Campaign is requesting volunteers to waive signs on election
day on November 7th . Volunteers may also sign up on the McKeel
Campaign Web site.
McKeel was elected to Lakeland’s City Commission in
September of 2000 where he will serve through December, 2005.
During his tenure on the Lakeland City Commission, Mr. McKeel
has championed the expansion of targeted economic development,
technology-based infrastructure improvements, in-town
redevelopment, workforce development and cultural enrichment.
He believes that these bedrock principles of good government
are paramount to ensuring the highest quality of life in our
communities.
McKeel is a fourth generation Lakeland resident who graduated
from Lakeland High School in 1993, and The University of
Florida in 1997 with a degree in Political Science. His passion
for government is paralleled by his passion for his community.
McKeel is President of the Imperial Symphony Orchestra, a
member of the McKeel Academy Board of Directors, The Lakeland
Kiwanis Club and a founder of Young Patriots, an organization
that encourages youth participation in public service. He and
is wife, Kim live in Lakeland with their ten month old son,
Seth, III.

Republican Nominee to Speak in Sun
City Center

Seth McKeel, Republican Nominee for the State House of
Representatives-District 63, will speak this Thursday,
September 28th to the Republican Club of Sun City Center. The
meeting will be held in the Sun City Center Chamber of Commerce
Building at 1:30 pm.
“I’m excited about the opportunity to bring our
message of hope, opportunity and lower property taxes to the
citizens of Sun City Center” said McKeel.
McKeel was elected to Lakeland’s City Commission in
September of 2000 where he will serve through December, 2005.
During his tenure on the Lakeland City Commission, Mr. McKeel
has championed the expansion of targeted economic development,

Seth McKeel Qualifies for the
General Election

Release: July 19, 2006
Seth McKeel, Republican candidate for Florida House
District 63 announced today that he and his wife Kim returned
today from Tallahassee where he successfully qualified for the
November General Election Ballot.
McKeel said: "This was a great moment for our campaign. After
more than 16 months of campaigning, Kim and I were excited for
this day and thrilled to formally qualify for the November
Ballot! We thank all of our supporters and volunteers who
helped us get to this point. We have much work ahead but are
certain with the help of our family, supporters and friends, we
will be successful in November."
A fourth generation Polk County resident, Seth McKeel, who is a
Lakeland native, was elected to the City Commission at the age
of 25 following a decisive 58% victory in a three-way race. He
served Lakeland from January of 2001 through January of 2005,
chairing the City Commission’s legislative affairs
committee.
As Vice President of Lakeland Properties & Management,
Inc., Seth is active in the local real estate and development
industries, while also a public relations consultant. His prior
professional experience includes work with Heritage Equities
Incorporated and Publix Super Markets, Inc. Seth is married to
Kim who also works in the real estate business as a
Realtor© with Keller Williams Realty. Seth and Kim
recently welcomed their first child, Seth III, to their family.

Seth McKeel Qualifies by Petition

Release: June 13, 2006
Nearly a week prior to the deadline, Seth McKeel,
Republican candidate for Florida House District 63 announced
today that he has accumulated enough verified signatures to
qualify for the ballot by the Candidate Petition Method,
collecting signatures from more than one percent of the
registered voters in Polk and Hillsborough Counties.
McKeel said: "I'm thrilled at the show of grassroots support
for my candidacy and happy to be able to save our contributors
the cost of a filing fee. The efforts of our team paid off
overwhelmingly. I thank everyone who signed on our behalf and
especially thank my family and our wonderful volunteers who
tirelessly knocked on doors and walked their neighborhoods in
support of this effort!"

Seth McKeel Receives Key Business
Organization Endorsements

Seth McKeel, candidate for the State House of
Representatives, District 63, recently received the
endorsements of the Florida Chamber and Associated Industries
of Florida (AIF). The Florida Chamber positions itself as
Florida's business advocate as well as the State's largest
federation of employers, chambers of commerce and associations.
The Florida Chamber represents more than 137,000 employers and
3 million employees. AIF has represented the Florida Business
Community for over 85 years and is known as the "Voice of
Business." AIF is comprised of more than 9,000 members.
